Merseburg, January 27, 2023.
Staff, public transport, site search for the new plant: Susanne Küppers, CFO and a.i. CEO of APK AG, and Sven Czekalla, member of the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament, talked about these and other topics during the latter’s visit to the plant in Merseburg on January 25, 2023.
The meeting was a direct follow-up to an earlier appointment at which Sven Czekalla had informed himself on site about APK AG’s plans to realise a second Newcycling® plant on a larger scale in the region: together with Sven Schulze, Minister of Economics, Tourism, Agriculture and Forestry of the State of Saxony-Anhalt, Sebastian Müller-Bahr, Lord Mayor of the City of Merseburg, and other representatives from business and politics, he visited APK AG on November 25, 2022.
Already on the eve of the renewed meeting, Susanne Küppers had presented APK AG and its Newcycling® process to the Committee for Urban Development, Construction and Environment of the City of Merseburg, as well as the plans for the redesign of the administrative building, the construction of another administrative building and an APK campus.
“Companies that want to make a difference are what we need in the region. APK’s technical solutions are very promising and being able to see the processes at the plant for yourself is impressive. I thank you for inviting me again,” says Sven Czekalla.
“We are delighted about Sven Czekalla’s visit and the lively interest from politicians in the region. We would very much like to build another large newcycling plant in Saxony-Anhalt and hope that together we will soon be able to clarify the outstanding issues, such as available land and possible support from the state,” says Susanne Küppers.
