Stefanie Pötzsch, State Secretary in the Ministry of Economics, Tourism, Agriculture and Forestry of Saxony-Anhalt, visited the APK site in Merseburg on August 23. She was accompanied, among others, by Sven Czekalla, Member of the Saxony-Anhalt State Parliament, who had already been a guest on previous occasions, and by Dorrit Zischkale from Investitions- und Marketinggesellschaft Sachsen-Anhalt mbH.
During a tour of the plant, the guests learned all about APK’s unique Newcycling® technology, which transforms mixed and complex plastic packaging waste fractions (e.g. multilayer packaging) into high-quality recyclates using solvents and exchanged information about APK’s ambitious expansion plans. The company plans to build additional Newcycling® plants and there are considerations that one of these will be located in Saxony-Anhalt (Germany).
